Nh.gov/NHES Website
On the nh.gov/nhes website you can apply for unemployment benefits in New Hampshire. You have to get a username and password to use the system online for filing. You will first have to create a new account in order to access all the services online. You can start a new application for first-time filing or you can reopen an existing account. You can then file weekly claims online once you are approved. You can also access communications and correspondences from the Department of Labor and you can review information about your claim, your payment history, and any appeals. The application process on the nh.gov/nhes website takes approximately 25 minutes to complete and upon completion you will be provided with a confirmation number. If you get disconnected while you are filling out the application or you decide to log off at any time, if you return to the site within a 24-hour time period, you can pick up where you left off in the application filing process. |
You are advised not to use the back button in your browser as you fill out the application. Doing so can accidentally cause the session to terminate and you'll have to log back in so that you can complete the filing process. Nearing the completion of the application you are supplied with the complete summary of the application so that you can review it before you submit it to ensure its accuracy. To begin using the services offered on the site visit: http://www.nh.gov/nhes.
